As Head of Research, Thomas oversees the development of Faraday’s multi-asset trading strategy.
Thomas has attained the CISI Level 6 Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management and the CFA Investment Management Certificate. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and the CFA Society.
Having graduated with First Class Bsc Honours in Economics, Thomas started his professional career at Hargreaves Lansdown. He became responsible for the portfolio analysis of over 40 of the UKs leading fund management groups. Thomas joined Faraday Research in 2011 and has developed effective trading strategies for shares, currencies and global indices. Thomas has managed the Real Time Trader and FX Daily products since their inception.
Matthew is a former Senior Market Analyst at Forex.com whose research is regularly quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and Reuters.
Based in the US, Matthew provides live trading recommendations during US market hours, covering forex and large cap US listed stocks.
Matthew holds both his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations. He is a Member of the CFA Society and Market Technicians Association.
Matthew started his professional career with GFT Markets, where he quickly attracted a loyal following of traders who appreciated his unique combination of insightful market analysis and easy-to-understand reports. From there, Matthew moved into a Senior Market Analyst role at Forex.com allowing him to hone his fundamental analysis skills and reach a wider audience. During his time at Forex.com Matthew conducted over 1,200 educational webinars on different aspects of trading and trading psychology.
Jamie has vast experience in financial markets, having worked in both top-tier institutions and trading houses.
He has traded a variety of different products during his professional career and combines technical analysis with deep fundamental knowledge to identify short-term trading opportunities.
After initially working on the LIFFE floor broking and trading futures, Jamie moved to Morgan Stanley and spent three years on the buy-side in Private Wealth Management as an Analyst looking at Japan and non-Japan Asian equity portfolios. He then moved within the firm to the Fixed Income Repo desk trading several short-dated instruments, including swaps, repos and market-making in Government Bills.
In 2009, Jamie set up his own company to trade derivatives, primarily interest rates, currencies and stock indices.
Trevellyan’s experience within the hedge fund industry makes him a key asset to Faraday’s research team.
Trevellyan uses a combination of quantitative modelling and technical analysis to isolate high probability trade setups across multiple asset classes.
Prior to joining Faraday, Trevellyan spent five years as a Fund of Hedge Fund Investment Analyst at the institutional alternative investment manager Saguenay Strathmore Capital (now part of Titan Advisors).
During his time at Saguenay Strathmore Capital, Trevellyan developed bespoke quantitative analysis models and gained unique access to Europe’s premier hedge fund managers. He was promoted to Associate Director in 2014.
Matthew is a certified technical analyst who combines charts and fundamentals to generate trade ideas.
Previously a regular guest on Sky News Business and Bloomberg Radio, Matthew has also appeared in numerous financial newswires such as Reuters, CNBC and the Wall Street Journal.
After starting within the brokerage industry in sales and trade support, Matthew quickly built up a loyal following due to his unique market perspectives and ‘client-sided’ advice. An experienced educator with hundreds of webinars and trade videos under his belt, Matthew now provides market commentary and live trade signals from Singapore during the APAC session.
A full member of the Society of Technical Analysts (STA) with an STA Diploma, Matt also achieved the CFTe designation making him a certified financial technician.
